TARANG-2017 waves of Talent was conducted on 23^rd  and 25^th  February, 2017 at T John Institute of Technology. On 23^rd  February, 2017 various sports events such as Cricket, Football, Throw ball, Volleyball, Chess, Table Tennis, Kabbadi and athletics were conducted for students. On 25^th February, 2017 various cultural events along with Talents shows were held throughout the day. Dr. Thomas P. John, Chairman, T. John Group of Institutions, graced the inaugural function as Guest of Honour. Dr C R Chandrashekar, Retd Psychiatrist, NIMHANS , inaugurated function as the Chief Guest, along with distinguished guests Bhagwan Das Chadaga, Senior consultant, TCS; Akash Srivatsa, Renowned Film Director and  Vashistha N Simha, Kannada film Actor. Dr. H N Thippeswamy, Principal, T John Institute of Technology presided over the function. Students who excelled in events were awarded with trophies, medals & certificates. Many Students as well as Staff took active participation in organising  of the events and making TARANG-2017 a grand success.
