Induction programme is an initiative to groom the overall personality of students and make them acquainted with the culture of the institution. T John Institute of Technology conducted the 12th Induction Programme for the First Year Engineering Students on 03 August 2017.

The T John Institute of Technology, Auditorium were occupied by hundreds of aspiring students. The aim of the programme was to ensure that every student feels welcomed, engaged and excited to begin with their new and important stage of the education. The idea was to make the students aware of their prospective opportunities and to show them the path they have adopted in order to become successful engineers.

The function started with the invocation. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by our honourable Chairman Dr. Thomas P. John. Wg. Cdr.(Retd.) David Yohan, Advisor to chairman, TJGI., Dr.H.N.Thippeswamy Principal, TJIT, a fresh batch student with her parent. 

Dr.H.N.Thippeswamy Principal, TJIT welcomed the gathering. Wg. Cdr.(Retd.) David Yohan an expert known in the academic community for his knowledge and resourcefulness, He advised the students to inculcate soft skills in them, as it will open a wide range of opportunities. He felt proud to announce that “TJIT has very good Infrastructure, which is required for engineering students. He also informed the audience about the “Discipline”. 

The function was graced by the top management dignitaries.  Principals of various colleges of TJGI, attended the function. Dr.Radha.H.R. HOD, Chemistry Department and first year BE 2017 coordinator, TJIT briefed about VTU and TJIT rules and regulations to audience.

Dr. Thomas P.John. Chairman, TJGI encouraged the students with his words of wisdom. He motivated the students by saying that when there is lack of some particular amenities, everyone must have the craze to get it.  He added that the infrastructure provided at TJIT is a boon to the students to nurture their dreams. The choice of words and measured phrases coupled with his simplicity inspired the students a lot.  He told that students will get ample of opportunities, but only thing is that he should be ready to grab it. Being an enthusiastic leader, he motivated the students to start studying from the beginning of the semester. .He asked every one about their goals. The students enjoyed a lot. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Dr.Vasudevan.K.T.HOD, Department of Physics,TJIT. National Anthem is played at the end of the programme. Lunch is served at 12.10 PM.

T. John Institute of Technology organised VTU Bengaluru South Zone Inter Collegiate Table Tennis tournament (Men & Women) 2017 on 28-08-2017.

The tournament was inaugurated by Ms. Aishwarya N, National Player- Table Tennis, Bengaluru, and Mr. K.Purnachandra, Regional Director, VTU-Bengaluru South Zone, Physical Education Director, RNSIT, Bengaluru.

There were about 20 teams from different colleges who took participation in the tournament. The program was initiated with an invocation song by Ms.Sharanya of 5th Semester Computer Science & Engineering department. Later, welcome speech by Ms. Roopashree Assistant Professor, Department of CSE,TJIT. A brief introduction about the Guest was given.

Ms. Aishwarya N and Mr K.Purnachandra gave an inspirational speech to the gathering. Dr. H N Thippeswamy, Principal, T. John Institute of Technology also gave motivational speech to the participants.

The inauguration function concluded with Honouring the Chief Guest and Guest of honor. 

All teams had a tough competition and finally R V College of Engineering won the tournament and RNSIT Bangalore became the runners from Men’s team.From Women’s team RNSIT won the tournament and R V College of Engineering became the runners. Dr H N Thippeswamy , Principal, TJIT appreciated Mr Govind Kumar B Physical Education Director, Dr Mahesh T R, Prof. Ms Roopashree, Ms Ashwini, Ms. Shridevi and student co-ordinators of Computer Science & Engineering department for their effort in organizing the event as well as in making it a grand success.

“Faculties are the backbone of educational Institutions”, a two days Faculty Development Program (FDP) was conducted by T. John Institute of Technology on 2nd and 3rd of August 2017 under the supervision of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Department of Computer Science Engineering (CSE). The FDP received an overwhelming response from all the Departments of TJIT.

The program was conducted at Room No 323(Seminar Hall). Dr. Thippeswamy H N, Principal, T. John Institute of Technology presided over the program. Dr. Arun Vikas Singh, HOD of ECE welcomed all the respected dignitaries and participants. Honorable Chief Guest Dr. C R Chandrasekhar and Mr. Y. V Gundu Rao emphasized the benefits of such kind of resourceful activity.

 

The first day morning session was on Adolescence growth & development issues, by resource person Dr. C R Chandrasekhar. He discussed on brain development and stress management.

 After tea break, session was handled by Mr. Y. V Gundu Rao; it was a very interactive session on Attitudes– Communication skills.

The post lunch session was handled by Dr. C R Chandrasekhar; he gave the talk on how to manage negative emotions.

The second day morning Dr. Thippeswamy H N, Principal, T. John Institute of Technology gave the guidance for the coming semester and appreciated the program organized by ECE & CSE dept.

After tea break, session was on Adolescence Issues: Case studies by Dr.Elizabeth Daniel. She explained how to do mentoring with her case studies.

The post lunch session was handled by Mr. Y. V Gundu Rao; he gave the talk on life skills management

 

VALEDICTORY SESSION:

All the staff members appreciated the departments for organizing the FDP. Prof. Rajanipriya, HOD, Dept. of Civil Engineering, gave feedback about sessions. The program ended with vote of thanks by Prof. Mohan, Asst. Prof., ECE Dept., TJIT

With a cast of more than 440 Graduates, along with parents, Guests and Spectators – the Graduation Ceremony for 2013-17 batch of T.John Institute of Technology was a truly momentous occasion which was held on 30th May,2017 in the TJIT Auditorium.

The Chief Guest of the day was Dr.N. Muthukumar, President &Director, Automotive Axles Ltd, Mysore and Chairman, Mysore Zonal Council, Confederation of Indian Industry and the Guest of Honour was Dr.Thomas P John, Chairman, T.John Group of Institutions, Bangalore and Wg. Cdr.(Ret’d) David Yohan ,Advisor to Our Chairman.

The function commenced with academic procession into the auditorium, with the conventional tune played at the background which was followed by an invocation by MrsSumitha Deepak and MrsDeepthi, Asst Professors, Department of ECE..The Graduation day was inaugurated by the ceremonial lamp lighting by the Chief GuestDr. N. Muthukumar, Guest of Honour Dr. Thomas P. John,Wg. Cdr.(Ret’d) David Yohan and G c member Mr. Jagadish Prasad, Principal Dr. H.N Thippeswamy.

The PrincipalDr. H.N Thippeswamywelcomed the gathering and the milestones of the outgoing batch was delivered by Mrs. Radha,Head,Department of Chemistry.The Chief Guest in his address to the gathering inspired and motivated the students to become Entrepreneurs.The Chairman in his speech congratulated the students and reminded them of the goals to be achieved.

The Principal Dr. H.N Thippeswamy administered the graduation oath to the graduates.The student achievers were awarded the certificates of excellence.The Chief Guest, the Guests of Honourgave degree to the students. 

Dr.S.R Sudheendra,Prof and Head,Department of Mathematics, proposed vote of thanks. The event culminated with the National Anthem followed by lunch at TJGI Church basement..
