Department of Information Science and Engineering organized an Industrial Visit for the students of 4th, 5th (crash course), 6th, 7th (crash course) and 8th semesters to Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru on 4 March, 2017.  Five faculties – Prof. Chaitra. B, Prof. Sindhu A. R, Prof. Tanu Kaushik, Prof. Bhagya S G and Prof. Manjusha N M accompanied 75 students who visited the Institution.

The Institution was celebrating the birth anniversary of its founder Jamshetji N. Tata.  Little science buffs dragged young minds to each department across the sprawling campus, where researchers explained various concepts through live demonstrations.

We visited the Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (SERC) which is the country’s leading computing centre having state-of-art computing facilities. The supercomputing facility at SERC is a collaboration of computing, network, graphics and visualization.

This visit motivated the students and inspired in building careers in recently a booming technologies.  Students had a very good experience in and out of the technologies and were thank-full to IISc and its management.  The industrial visit program was a success and was ended around 4:00 back.  Department of ISE thanks the Principal, TJIT for giving permission for Industrial Visit and the Administrator for providing necessary logistics.
