Dr. S. Padmanabha, an accomplished engineer with a Ph.D in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, has over 23 years of teaching experience behind him. His experience lies in Industrial engineering, Operations Research, leadership, Human Resources Management, Resource Utilization, and Organizational Development. After successfully completing Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Production Engineering from Mysore University, he went on to pursue Master of Engineering in Production/Operations Management from Karnataka University, Dharwad. Dr. S. Padmanabha has published/presented more than 15 papers till date and completed more than 25 academic research projects. With a special drive towards research on ergonomics, he has been instrumental in organising many activities for student forums guiding and moulding them through out his teaching career.

His objective is to prepare 'world ready', 'market ready' and sensible, morally correct, ethically groomed candidates. He believes his task is to inspire young minds, setting their hearts on fire with initial inertia, giving them the sense of direction and purpose, something to live up and live for, giving them the power to act/delegate as agents of change and instruments of progress. Highlighting with ‘Do Engineering MORE than only Read Engineering’ focusing on every young minds to be JOB CREATORS BESIDES JOB SEEKERS.

He has taken over as Principal, TJIT from June 4, 2012.
